Make a Communication Plan
Your family may not be together when an emergency or disaster happens, so it’s very important to have a plan to inform you and your loved ones how you will get in contact with one another and try to reconnect. You should also create a family meeting place that is familiar and easy to find.
Use this fillable Family Emergency Communications Plan. When your plan is complete, you can email to yourself as a .PDF.
Special Needs Registry
Rockland County has developed a Access and Functional Needs Registry for residents with limited mobility or special needs, which might impact a timely response during an emergency. If you or someone you care for is unable to act independently, please register.
The registry provides individual notification if an evacuation has been ordered, alerts local emergency personnel of your individual considerations, and allows emergency responders an opportunity to plan and be prepared.
