Environmental Education
Welcome to our Distance Learning Resource page. Please note this is a working document and information is subject to change. If you have resources you would like to add to this list, please email Adam at bradfora@co.rockland.ny.us.
Below, you will find a list of resources that are grouped based on the type of resource. The first section will highlight local organizations in Rockland County and their resources. Then you will find the other resources sorted in these groups: Lesson Plans/Activities, At Home Activities, Interactive Interface, Video Resources/Learning, Virtual Tour/Field Trip, Webinar Series, and Additional Resources.
Under each grouping, you will see the organization that developed the resource, the approximate grade levels the resources are intended for, the topic of the resource, and a brief description of what you can expect to find from the resource.
Understanding the Grade Level: If a specific grade level is not indicated, you may see the following abbreviations: HS (High School), MS (Middle School), ES (Elementary School). A (+) sign after any number or abbreviation indicates the resource can be utilized for those who are older than the grade or abbreviation. For example: 12+ indicates those in 12th grade and those past 12th grade may be able to utilize the resource.
We are here to answer any questions you may have regarding this list and how to use it. If needed, we can also provide you with suggestions for how to adapt resources for use with different age groups that are not indicated for a specific resource. We also welcome you to contact the organization directly if you have specific questions regarding their resource.
