Rockland County is experiencing extremely dry conditions this fall, with little rain predicted in the long-term forecast. Although no immediate concerns exist for our water sources, they could become stressed if these dry conditions continue over the winter months.

More Mosquito Pools Test Positive for West Nile Virus (WNV) in Rockland
The Rockland County Department of Health (RCDOH) reports that additional pools, or groups, of mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV). Over the past two weeks, RCDOH has seen a sharp increase, with approximately half of the pools submitted for testing came back positive for WNV.
