Are you concerned about falling? A Matter of Balance Fall Prevention Program is a free, award-winning program that can help you reduce your fear of falling, improve your balance, and feel better.
The program is ideal for people who are:
- concerned about falls.
- have had a fall(s) in the past.
- restrict their activities because of concerns about falling.
- interested in improving flexibility, balance, and strength.
- do simple exercises to increase your strength and balance.
- age 60 or older, community-dwelling, and able to problem solve.
The 8-week program meets once a week for two hours. The program is led by trained volunteer lay leader coaches. Learn practical coping strategies to reduce your fear of falling and increase your activity level by doing strength and balance exercises.
