We encourage young people and their families to spend time doing acts of good that will help create positive change in our county. Below are some local organizations that can use your help!

Get Fresh Deliveries
Get Fresh Deliveries are a drive thru food distribution run by a handful of organizations to give local pantries fresh and nutritious food for community members. Join our mission to reduce food waste and fight hunger in Rockland County!
Volunteers help with lifting boxes from palettes and placing them in vehicles for transport to food pantries. We start at 8:15 am and end around 9:30am.

- Small Deliveries: 5/4, 5/11
- Big Deliveries: 5/25 (On Thursdays except for the third one of the month.)

Turtles of Western Highway
Help us protect New York's State reptile! Nesting mother turtles are crossing Western Highway to lay their eggs before returning to the reservoir. Volunteers are needed to help walk the road and help cross mama snapping turtles across the street.
Volunteers will be needed every day starting May 15 – June 18. Please sign up with the Turtles of Western Highway.

Bridges Summer 2023 Youth Volunteer Program
BRIDGES' is excited to host 4-6 students this summer! These students will learn about our various departments. If you are between the ages of 16-18 years old and want to learn more about BRIDGES, please fill out the Youth Volunteer Program Application and email to scibirka@bridgesrc.org.

Aerospace Education, Emergency Services and Cadet Leadership Training
The Rockland Cadet Squadron of Civil Air Patrol is dedicated to developing the leadership qualities of youth (12 to 18) within the mission of the Civil Air Patrol. We encourage the core values of integrity, volunteer service , respect, and excellence in a fun yet challenging environment that builds confidence, character, and promotes a high sense of duty to community, state and nation.

Youth for Hospice
Youth for Hospice (YFH) is a volunteer group founded by local high school students who volunteer their time while giving back to the community.

Gilda's Club Westchester
Gilda's Club Westchester is looking for passionate, dedicated teen volunteers from Westchester, Rockland, and Fairfield Counties to join our Youth Committee Program where they can help raise awareness about cancer, assist in fundraising, earn service hours, and volunteer with members in our community. The mission of Gilda's Club Westchester is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community. We create welcoming communities of free support for everyone living with cancer – men, women, teens, children and families. Our innovative programs are an essential complement to medical care, providing individual counseling, support groups, workshops, education and social activities.
