Transit Schedules for Labor Day
On Labor Day, Monday, September 2, Transport of Rockland (TOR) bus routes will operate Saturday service on TOR #59, #91, #92, #93, #94 and Loop #3 and regular service on TOR Loop #1 and Loop #2. TOR #95 and #97 will not operate. TRIPS paratransit buses will operate ADA Service only.

County Legislature Adopts Law To Provide Financial Assistance To Families Of Fallen Volunteer Firefighters, EMS & Auxiliary Police Members
Rockland County legislators voted unanimously tonight to create a new program that will provide grants of up to $1 million to the dependents of volunteer firefighters, EMS and Auxiliary Police members who are killed in the line of duty.

More Mosquito Pools Test Positive for West Nile Virus (WNV) in Rockland
The Rockland County Department of Health (RCDOH) reports that additional pools, or groups, of mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV). Over the past two weeks, RCDOH has seen a sharp increase, with approximately half of the pools submitted for testing came back positive for WNV.
